Why are Government Policing Agents Afraid of Community Neighborhood Watch Groups?

If you are like most people you want to live in a safe community and when you see things going astray you have probably thought about volunteering to help in the process. Perhaps you have considered setting up a community me will program?

The problem with that is although most police departments do they community policing officer they are fearful of vigilantism. Why are they afraid of this? The truth is it undermines their authority. They want to be an absolute control.

Consider if you will the teachers unions and how they lobbied the Federal Trade Commission to go after the; Hooked On Phonics Company. Teachers unions are also guilty of going after charter schools in trying to prevent them from forming and they are adamantly against Home Schooling. It is the same thing with Government policing agencies, as their unions find that it undermines their authority and could even hurt their jobs to.

It is amazing that we let politics and unions get in the way of protecting the American people. Often, government agencies will admit that crime is out of control or that they cannot stop the international terrorists. Yet, government’s number one job is to protect the people and if they can’t do that then the people must step up to the bat.

Unfortunately rather than doing their job to prevent crime they will spend their time attacking groups and making it hard for them to protect themselves. This does two things it guarantees their own job security and increases crime. The more crime increases the more you think you need them and the more you are willing to pay in tax dollars for their efforts.

The system is totally out of control and worse if you try to set up a neighborhood watch program, a business watch program or a mobile watch patrol you will find yourself in problems with the police departments. The police department will say you cannot do that because their job is to protect you? But in reality if they were protecting you; you would not have to do it in the first place.

We need to dump the fiefdoms, police politics and union politics and get busy protecting the American people and if the government is going to protect The American People, well then the people must protect themselves. It is simple really, it is too bad our police departments and Federal Agencies cannot and will not protect the American People, but instead pound on the Public Relations drums twice daily to remind us how much we need them to protect us? Please consider this in 2006.
