The Ogun State Government has said it is offering up to 50 percent discount to property owners and residents of the state, who are willing to make online payments on land use charges.
The state government said it has made payment of the Land Use and Amenities Charges very convenient, with its payment online portal or the REMITA platform at government’s stipulated channels or at any commercial bank nationwide.
The state confessed to have deliberately put all demand notices online with unique payment codes, required to effect online payment on its portal or at any commercial bank nationwide.

Former Vice President Joe Biden has said he’ll move to protect abortion rights if the Supreme Court strikes down Roe v. Wade, the historic decision that protected a woman’s right to have an abortion.
The Democratic presidential nominee told an NBC News town hall in Miami on Monday that if the historic ruling on abortion is overturned, his “only response to that is pass legislation making Roe the law of the land. That’s what I would do.”
LAHORE: A private housing society has agreed to surrender its land to the Lahore Development Authority’s LDA Avenue-I scheme on Raiwind Road.
The society (Chiniot Housing Scheme) accepted the offer and would get 30 per cent of developed plots in return, according to officials.
According to proposal, the Chiniot housing society will surrender 1,555 kanals for merging it into the LDA Avenue-I housing scheme area. The LDA, in return according to an agreed formula, will give 30 percent developed plots of the total land to the society. This will enable the LDA to accommodate 613 plot holders of Avenue-1 scheme. “The decision will help resolve the 17-year-old issue,”said the official.
